How today’s legal proceedings unfold will largely be determined on whether or not Brown’s lawyers are able to strike a deal with the district attorney.
Both sides in the case were reportedly working around-the-clock to negotiate a plea deal, but no official announcement has come as of early this morning. If not, Judge Patricia Schnegg could possibly move this case along and set an official court date.
Some of the major factors pushing the case towards a plea deal are the fact that Chris Brown is a first-time offender with no other criminal history, and both pop superstars could do without additional shocking information being made public from the night in question.
If no plea deal is struck and the case goes to trial, Brown could face a maximum of four years and eight months in prison if he’s found guilty, according to an L.A. County District Attorney spokesman.
Brown is facing felony charges of assault and making criminal threats. Stay tuned to Gossip Girls for updates later this afternoon.

The “Project Runway” hottie looked to be having a marvelous time with Leni, Henry, and Johan, looking stylish in a black jacket with a black patterned dress, black leggings, and tall black boots.
As for her current pregnancy, Heidi told press it will be her last one, noting that her family will be complete after baby #4 is born.
Klum explained, “When we looked around the table, it was like one person was missing. And that’s how number four came about. But that will be it.”

At 86 years old, the “Golden Girls” actress reportedly lost her battle with cancer. Her spokesman/assistant Dan Watt told press, “She was a brilliant and witty woman. Bea will always have a special place in my heart.”
“Golden Girls” costar Rue McClanahan also sang Bea’s praises. “[Thirty-seven] years ago she showed me how to be very brave in playing comedy. I’ll miss that courage. And I’ll miss that voice.”

“They’re very different. You can really see it, even from when they’re really young,” Lopez said.
The 39-year-old beauty and mother said that Max is always “running, knocking things down [and] eating the world.” Meanwhile, daughter Emme is “indecisive” about her actions but also “very precise.”
Lopez and hubby Marc Anthony both have their opinions about which characteristics the babies obtained physically from each other.
“You know what’s so funny though? Me and Mark are always claiming he’s got my head and he’s got my mouth,” said Lopez. “That’s the nature of who we are. We can’t help it. We’re both trying to steal it all!”
