She always seems to find a way to come out on top - and the recent lawsuit filed against Elisabeth Hasselbeck proves it.
The “View” host cleared the air on this morning’s show (June 24), reassuring everyone by saying, “I just want to assure you the allegations are without merit and are being handled appropriately.”
Susan Hassett, an author from Massachusetts recently filed a suit against Hasselbeck claiming she stole her idea for a book and went ahead to publish her own version, The G-Free Diet-A Gluten-Free Survival Guide.
The woman is seeking $3 million dollars from Elisabeth, but should not get her hopes up, as Hasselbeck is standing her ground.
A recent statement by Ms. Hasselbeck said that she “worked diligently and tirelessly on her book and is disappointed in this attempt to discredit her work and her ability to bring this important message to the public.”

She tries her best to stay out of trouble these days and, lucky for Kim Kardashian, a lawsuit filed against her was dismissed earlier this month.
The “Keeping Up Withthe Kardashians” leading lady was taken to court by R&B singer Brandy Norwood’s mother, Sonja Norwood, for supposedly racking up a big bill on the singer’s credit card when Kim was working as her stylist.
In the suit, Norwood accused Kardashian and siblings Khloe, Kourtney and Robert of running up the charges of $120,636 at the family-owned boutique, Dash and Smooch, back in 2006 and 2007.
Kardashian denied the allegations, saying she never used the credit card without authorization and the lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice, which means the case cannot be appealed or re-filed.

Stepping out amidst her divorce drama, Katie Price was spotted making her way around London, England on Monday afternoon (June 1).
The sexy glamour model, who’s currently separating from now ex-husband Peter Andre, brightened up the streets with a hot pink tank top that read “Perfect” paired with white trousers.
As for her divorce, Miss Price has just recently hired Paul McCartney’s divorce lawyer, Fiona Shackleton, as she hopes to get things over with as quickly as possible.
An insider told the News of the World: “It’s sad, but she’s (Price) given up the fight. She now accepts she’s never getting Peter back and is ready to move on with her life. It hasn’t been easy but she knows it’s necessary to enable her to eventually get on with things.”

After months of speculation, Rihanna will in fact be served with a subpoena to testify during a preliminary hearing for Chris Brown on June 22nd.
Earlier today, a judge denied Brown’s motion to look into who leaked the photo of the battered “Take a Bow” songstress to the media, saying it would be premature at this point in the trial.
At the June hearing, it will be determined whether or not there is enough evidence to mount a case against Brown, and with Rihanna’s testimony it will most likely move forward.
Brown has already pled not guilty to criminal and assault charges for an incident back in February where he allegedly threatened and beat up Rihanna, who was his then-girlfriend.

The credit card company is seeking an unpaid balance of over $350,000 from the “Celebrity Skin” songstress, and they filed a lawsuit in an effort to collect.
Miss Love reportedly “failed and refused” to make payments on her AmEx Gold Card, racking up quite a line of purchases.
The U.S. District Court will be handling the lawsuit, which is the second one this year for Courtney. In February she was sued for libel for making defamatory comments about a fashion designer on her Twitter page.

As if he wasn’t already in enough legal trouble, Chris Brown is now being sued by a photographer who claims he was assaulted by the singer.
According to a report, Robert Rosen has filed a lawsuit against the “Kiss Kiss” singer and LA Fitness for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment.
Chris was reportedly playing basketball at the fitness facility when Rosen began snapping photos and was quickly apprehended by Brown’s bodyguards.
According to Robert (a member of the gym), Brown’s security “shook me with incredible force,” leading to his emotional distress and bodily harm.
Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, told press, “This is a specious and frivolous lawsuit by one of the paparazzi seeking publicity and a payday. [Rosen] has done this before and lost. We will vigorously defend against this.”

Stepping out to take care of legal matters, Lindsay Lohan was spotted visiting the probation center in Glendale, California on Wednesday afternoon (May 27).
The “Gerogia Rule” starlet was accompanied by her little sister Ali, with the twosome doing their best to skirt paparazzi after finishing up with their visit.
The outing comes just after the arrest of her father, Michael Lohan, pleaded not guilty in a Long Island court to threatening to kill fiancée Erin Muller.
The 49-year-old is reportedly facing a misdemeanor charge of aggravated harassment stemming from a March 18 altercation.
“He allegedly called Erin Muller on the telephone and stated in sum and substance that he would kill her and himself if Erin Muller left him,” a Suffolk County D.A. spokesman told press.

It’s one of the most hotly debated pieces of legislature in the history of the State of California, and last night a bevy of Hollywood hotties showed up to support a lift on the gay marriage ban.
Sophia Bush was more than happy to show her support for the Repeal Prop 8 cause, sporting a “Legalize Gay” shirt and waving a protest sign.
Also in attendance was Haylie Duff, who brought a homemade “Love Whoever You Want” sign, looking hot in a white tank top with distressed jeans and Vans slide-ons.
Shanna Moakler made an appearance for the cause, dressed in an all-white ensemble, while Drew Barrymore flashed a peace sign for the paparazzi.
Other celebrities at the march included Emmy Rossum, Eliza Dushku, Kelly Osbourne, Perez Hilton, and Fall Out Boy hottie Pete Wentz.

Hitting the courthouse in cuffs and a blue jumpsuit, Redmond O’Neal attended a hearing at the Santa Clarita courthouse on Friday (May 22).
According to breaking reports, the 24-year-old son of Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett has been ordered to appear back in court on July 9th for a preliminary hearing on charges of drug possession.
And while his circumstances aren’t ideal, Redmond did appear to be handling the situation with good humor - as he was spotted laughing at the clamoring photogs snapping up his picture upon taking his seat next to his lawyer.
The charges stem from an April incident, during which time Redmond is suspected of taking heroin into a Los Angeles area jail facility. He has since been moved from the Twin Towers Correctional Facility to the Pitchess Detention Center.

There will be no divorce for Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn – as the actor filed an appeal in Marin County Superior Court Thursday to discharge their legal separation case.
“It was an arrogant mistake,” told Penn, who had filed for “legal separation with minor children” from his wife of thirteen years.
This was not the first time Penn, 48, had filed for divorce. He had previously filed one back in December 2007, which was later dismissed. Wright Penn, 43, then filed for her own paperwork three days later after the event.
When April of 2008 rolled around, the couple’s divorce appeal was dismissed at their request.
Meanwhile, the two have attended February’s Academy Awards, where Penn won his second Best Actor Oscar for playing activist Harvey Milk.
The couple has two children between them, Dylan, 18, and Jack, 15.
Reports have also said that Penn has been seen with actress Natalie Portman previously this month, which Portman has denied.

Unfortunately, the list is growing—Paris Hilton, Hayden Paniettiere, Audrina Patridge, Tila Tequila, and the most recent, Rachel Bilson, have all been victims of burglary over the past few months.
While spending the last few weeks up in Canada with fiancé, Hayden Christiansen, the 27-year-old actress learned that someone had broken into her L.A. home - stealing thousands of dollars worth of clothing, vintage shoes and family jewelry.
Bilson’s mother discovered the missing merchandise, which also included a television set, when she stopped by the house. There were no obvious signs of forced entry, and a source says police are investigating.
A friend of “The Last Kiss” babe says, “She’s shaken. She feels violated.”

In the latest installment of celebrity legal woes, Kanye West entered a plea of ‘not guilty’ to charges of misdemeanor vandalism, battery, and grand theft resulting from a run-in with the paparazzi last September.
The “Love Lockdown” rapper’s lawyer Blair Berk appeared on his behalf, along with Shawn Chapman Holley, the lawyer for West’s road manager Don Crawley, who was also charged.
Back in September, Kanye and Don were videotaped wrestling with a photographer while en route to Honolulu, Hawaii, with both men taking the camera and smashing it.
Following the initial arrest, West wrote on his blog, “I’m col with the paparazzi. This guy wasn’t cool. I gotta work now… I’ll rant later!”

He earned his reputation for being a tough guy in his epic film “300” and now it looks like Gerard Butler’s life is imitating his art.
The “PS I Love You” stud is being charged with misdemeanor criminal battery and could sped up to six months in jail if convicted and given the maximum sentence.
According to a report, Butler was involved in an “altercation with a photographer” back on October 7, 2008 around 2am following the premiere of his film “RocknRolla.”
The incident took place outside Crown Bar in Los Angeles when Butler allegedly punched a paparazzo in the face several times while getting into a limousine.
Gerard is due to be arraigned on June 10th on the charges against him. Until then we’ll just have to wait in suspense for the outcome.

Facing the consequences of his temperamental actions, Kiefer Sutherland made his way to the local police station in New York City for questioning on Thursday (May 7).
Reports tell that the “24” star has been charged with assault as a result of an alleged headbutting incident involving designer Jack McCollough.
Upon showing up to the police station for questioning, Kiefer avoided speaking to press as he squeezed into the lower Manhattan precinct.
“Kiefer is here, he walked in a few minutes ago,” an officer told Us magazine, failing to offer up any further details.
McCollough, the accusing party, claims that Sutherland struck him after he accidentally bumped into actress Brooke Shields. If convicted of the to the misdemeanor, Kiefer faces a fine up to $1,000 and a possible year in jail.

As the case of Chris Brown’s attack on Rihanna progresses, Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos has begun to unveil his strategy to get the whole thing thrown out of court.
The “Kiss Kiss” singer’s lawman’s first order of business is to attack the LAPD for leaking a photograph of Rihanna’s bruised face, as he believes it made a fair trial impossible.
Geragos stated, “I am informed and believe that this highly prejudicial photograph was sold by an LAPD officer to the entertainment website, TMZ. The photograph was immediately viewed by hundreds of thousands of viewers and was displayed on every news channel for several weeks ... The purpose of the leak was necessarily for profit and to vilify Mr. Brown and poison the potential jury pool.”
He continued, “I intend to use such evidence at the preliminary hearing to attack their credibility ... I believe there is a reasonable likelihood that the case will be dismissed at the preliminary hearing.”
However, Geragos’ strategy may not be enough right off the bat. An uninvolved lawyer told press, “It’s unlikely the judge will dismiss the case on the grounds of leaked evidence. It’s not police conduct at issue here, it’s Chris Brown’s.”

Jacko’s former spokeswoman Raymone Bain has filed a $44 million lawsuit against him claiming that she is owed a 10% cut of his business dealings.
Bain began working for the King of Pop back in 2003 and says that he has failed to honor their agreement. Hence, she’s suing him for what she considers to be her share of his earnings.
“I have been left no choice” she told press. In 2003 Bain oversaw Jackson’s image during his child molestation trial and in 2005 she handled his relocation overseas and back to Los Angeles.

As previously reported by the Gossip Girls, Kiefer Sutherland allegedly headbutted designer Jack McCollough in the wee hours of Tuesday morning after he refused to apologize to Brooke Shields for bumping into her.
But McCollough’s rep insists that the attack was totally unprovoked. “Anyone who knows Jack McCollough knows that he would not hurt a fly.”

As previously reported by the Gossip Girls, Kiefer Sutherland allegedly headbutted designer Jack McCollough in the wee hours of Tuesday morning after he refused to apologize to Brooke Shields for bumping into her.

Ready to support his good friend in a time of need, George Clooney will be taking the stand on behalf of Cindy Crawford’s restauranteur hubby Rande Gerber.
Charged of sexually harassing a former employee, Clooney has dismissed the claims against Gerber as ridiculous - and is willing to go to court over the matter.
“Multiple witnesses, including George Clooney … will testify that they were with Mr. Gerber for the short time period in question and that Mr. Gerber never kissed or touched any waitress,” Gerber’s spokesperson told In Touch Weekly.
Previous reports tell that the accuser alleges that Rande “attempted to fondle her in September 2008.”

Stepping out to run a few weekend errands, Vanessa Hudgens visited her local Blockbuster in Studio City on Sunday (May 3).
In high spirits on what was a beautiful day, the “High School Musical” hottie also stopped by a bookstore and yogurt shop before continuing along on her way.
Meanwhile, reports tell that the 20-year-old has settled a lawsuit with the former producer, Johnny Vieira, who sued her for breach of contract.
“My client appreciates Mr. Vieira’s efforts early in her recording career,” said Vanessar’s lawyer. “We’re glad to be able to resolve the issues in a mutually agreeable fashion.”

Offering a little relief to the catwalk queen, the alleged stalker of Tyra Banks has been convicted of multiple charges including stalking, harassment, attempted aggravated harassment, and criminal trespass earlier this morning (April 30).
With Tyra testifying at Manhattan’s criminal court just yesterday, Brady Green will hopefully no longer be a problem for Miss Banks.
“The behavior was hounding,” Judge James Burke told press, who also opted against giving Green any time in the slammer – instead telling the defendant’s lawyer to “Put Mr. Green in a location where he can thrive. And that location is not likely to be the city of New York.”
Of the outcome, Green’s attorney, Jeffrey Berman, said, “I’m disappointed with the verdict, but I’m glad the judge did not send him to jail.”
