She’s had quite a season with dancing partner Mark Ballas, and last night Shawn Johnson was crowned the winner of “Dancing with the Stars” season 8.
The 17-year-old Olympic gold medalist skipped her prom to compete on the show, and from the look on her face when she was announced the champion, it was well worth it.
Moments after she received the good news, Johnson told press, “This means the world to me. We worked so hard just to make it to the finals. This is the best.”
Judge Bruno Tonioli mused, “Shawn’s freestyle was the best of all of them. With cha cha cha, tango, waltz — they all have a structure. But in the freestyle anything goes and you may or may not get it right. Shawn and Mark got it right. The other two [Marini and Melissa Rycroft] did not get it right.”

Kourtney, the oldest of the sisters, took to her official Web site saying, ‘’All of the graffiti on the wall was gang-related and there were carvings in the glass. All in all, the damage is pretty bad, but they’re painting over it now!”
The employee who initially noticed the graffiti alerted Kim through her Twitter page, saying, “We are having a CRISIS! Can u meet me at Dash???”
Police continue to investigate the crime and hopefully the store will officially open tomorrow, as planned.

Despite rumors that he had succumbed to his pancreatic cancer, Patrick Swayze is reportedly still alive and kicking, according to his rep Annett Wolf.
Earlier today she told press, “This is to confirm that Patrick Swayze did not pass away this morning contrary to severely reckless reports stemming from a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida. Patrick Swayze is alive, well and is enjoying his life and he continues to respond to treatment.”
Given the widespread speculation about his health, the “Dirty Dancing” stud recently made a public plea, saying, “I hope in the future, the press will think twice about printing inaccuracies and painting an unpleasant picture when I have so much to be thankful for at this time.”
In a past interview Swayze maintained that he was still very hopeful for a full recovery. “I am one of the lucky ones with pancreatic cancer that is responding well to the treatment. There is a brand new, 12-week old, Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy named Kumasai in my life who is gorgeous and already showing that he will be one special dog… I have so much to be thankful for at this time.”
