She always seems to find a way to come out on top - and the recent lawsuit filed against Elisabeth Hasselbeck proves it.
The “View” host cleared the air on this morning’s show (June 24), reassuring everyone by saying, “I just want to assure you the allegations are without merit and are being handled appropriately.”
Susan Hassett, an author from Massachusetts recently filed a suit against Hasselbeck claiming she stole her idea for a book and went ahead to publish her own version, The G-Free Diet-A Gluten-Free Survival Guide.
The woman is seeking $3 million dollars from Elisabeth, but should not get her hopes up, as Hasselbeck is standing her ground.
A recent statement by Ms. Hasselbeck said that she “worked diligently and tirelessly on her book and is disappointed in this attempt to discredit her work and her ability to bring this important message to the public.”

Casting her cares to the wind, LeAnn Rimes was spotted grabbing some lunch on a rainy day in Santa Monica, California yesterday (June 3).
The “How Do I Live” songstress was joined by an unidentified male friend as she strolled past the paparazzi in a beautiful springy blue dress.
In related news, Ms. Rimes has decided not to publicly react to the allegations made by her alleged extra-marital lover Eddie Cibrian’s wife Brandi Glanville (she claimed that LeAnn had been stalking her husband following their tryst).
LeAnn told press, “You know what, I’m a classy woman, I’m never ever going to battle anything out in the press. I have respect for everyone that is involved and everyone’s family, including my own. I would never want to hurt my husband or anyone else with more lies dragged out in the press.”

As previously reported, Brandi Glanville, the wife of Eddie Cibrian, is lashing out at Rimes claiming she has gone too far saying, “LeAnn is a stalker. She refuses to leave us alone—it is shameful and scary. People are going to say it takes two to tango and I get that, but at some point LeAnn needs to stop asking him to dance.”
After hearing such accusations, it is now being reported that “The What I Cannot Change” singer is putting her spokesperson to work who is now claiming, “These comments are incredibly defamatory. Possibly worried that she’s fading in popularity due to the “Jon and Kate” coverage, Nadya Suleman (aka Octomom) has lashed out at Kate Gosselin in a new video submitted to Radar Online.
“She needs to stop being so judgmental and stop pulling at straws for attention,” Suleman tells of her reality show competition.
Then speaking out about Kate’s marital woes with Jon, Suleman continues, “My children are extremely healthy, strong and happy. Don’t you have, like, a lot of issues in your life? A lot of marital problems?”
Finishing up her attempt to kick off a catfight, the mother of fourteen adds, “Why are you so desperate to glob on to my life? For attention?”

They’ve been in the news quite a bit as of late, and now the tabloids are telling that Mel Gibson’s pregnant girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, is publicly making some demands.
A source close to the couple recently told the National Enquirer that the mom-to-be wants the “Lethal Weapon” star to check into rehab and fix his alcohol addiction problem once and for all.
The insider says, “Mel’s got a hair-trigger temper when he’s drunk, and Oksana insists she won’t stick around when he’s like that. She’s informed Mel that if he doesn’t go to rehab, she’ll bow out of the picture before they go any further.”
Adding fuel to the tabloid fire, a Gibson family friend revealed, “Oksana thinks Mel will be less likely to cheat on her if he’s not out drinking.”

According to Us magazine, an investigation being conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor is underway to determine if their reality TV show, “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” is violating child labor laws.
After receiving a complaint about the show, Troy Thompson of the PA Dept. of Labor says, “We’re not saying that there was or was not a violation, just that we’re conducting an investigation.”
Being on the show, however, means the kids might be exempt from standards such as how many hours they can work per day. Ellen Dannin, a law professor at Penn State Dickinson School of Law says, “It’s not like acting. They’re just going about their regular lives.”

American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi doesn’t mind telling it like it is when it comes to Adam Lambert, the runner up, and his sexuality.
“I don’t think that Adam was ever in [the closet],” she told The View. “I think he was always openly out.”
Barbara Walters stirred up the conversation when she brought up if Lambert’s speculations on his sexuality could have influenced the votes. Lambert, who wears eyeliner, nail polish, tight pants and is known for his perfect rocker hair, has been photographed kissing other men.
Answering Walters’ question, DioGuardi said, “I hope not. Because we should be judging on talent and viability in the music industry, and they both had that.”
Meanwhile, Lambert has said that people who are concerned about his preferences toward a man or a woman need to “calm down.” The most important thing to him is that he is being true to himself.
“You should own who you are and what you’re about, and never make apologies for it,” he said.

In January, Bundchen had denied reports that she and Brady were engaged, stating, “I don’t know how people are so creative.” The couple then wed at a private ceremony a month later in February.

After months of speculation, Rihanna will in fact be served with a subpoena to testify during a preliminary hearing for Chris Brown on June 22nd.
Earlier today, a judge denied Brown’s motion to look into who leaked the photo of the battered “Take a Bow” songstress to the media, saying it would be premature at this point in the trial.
At the June hearing, it will be determined whether or not there is enough evidence to mount a case against Brown, and with Rihanna’s testimony it will most likely move forward.
Brown has already pled not guilty to criminal and assault charges for an incident back in February where he allegedly threatened and beat up Rihanna, who was his then-girlfriend.

As if he wasn’t already in enough legal trouble, Chris Brown is now being sued by a photographer who claims he was assaulted by the singer.
According to a report, Robert Rosen has filed a lawsuit against the “Kiss Kiss” singer and LA Fitness for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment.
Chris was reportedly playing basketball at the fitness facility when Rosen began snapping photos and was quickly apprehended by Brown’s bodyguards.
According to Robert (a member of the gym), Brown’s security “shook me with incredible force,” leading to his emotional distress and bodily harm.

The outing comes just after the arrest of her father, Michael Lohan, pleaded not guilty in a Long Island court to threatening to kill fiancée Erin Muller.
The 49-year-old is reportedly facing a misdemeanor charge of aggravated harassment stemming from a March 18 altercation.

The “Kiss Kiss” singer speaks to the camera about his upcoming album, saying, “I just wanna say ‘What up?’ because I ain’t been out there in a minute. New album will be coming soon,” he says. “We’re working on it right now.”
Brown continued on, making a casual reference to the drama in his personal life: “Everybody that’s haters, they just been haters. All my real fans, I love you all. I ain’t a monster.”
Meanwhile, Brown’s case continues to stall in court as his lawyer, Mark Geragos, is seeking access to LAPD records to determine if there was police misconduct in the investigation, which could be grounds for a case dismissal.

The “American Idol” icon was on his way out of the “Britain’s Got Talent” studios in London, England when a female fan lunged at him and tried to hold onto him.
An eyewitness told press, “All the girls in the crowd got excited when Simon wound his car window down to wave at them, but one went too far and actually tried to stop him from leaving.”
And it was so bad that security guards had to get involved. “Security had to pull her away from his vehicle and hold her against the ground to let Simon out safely.”

Setting the record straight about his divorce and affair with singer Oksana Grigorieva, Mel Gibson made an appearance on the “Tonight Show” last night to field questions from Jay Leno.
The “Lethal Weapon” stud told the late night host, “My wife and I, our marriage ended three years ago and we’ve been separated ever since then. These things happen. It’s unfortunate, it’s sad, but you know she is an admirable woman – we still got kids together. We’re friends.”
When pressed by Jay to divulge more details, Mel simply said, “Look. When it’s all said and done, I did a pretty good hatchet job on my marriage myself. I’m to blame. If you’re inclined to judge, put it here.”

Hitting the courthouse in cuffs and a blue jumpsuit, Redmond O’Neal attended a hearing at the Santa Clarita courthouse on Friday (May 22).
According to breaking reports, the 24-year-old son of Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett has been ordered to appear back in court on July 9th for a preliminary hearing on charges of drug possession.
And while his circumstances aren’t ideal, Redmond did appear to be handling the situation with good humor - as he was spotted laughing at the clamoring photogs snapping up his picture upon taking his seat next to his lawyer.
The charges stem from an April incident, during which time Redmond is suspected of taking heroin into a Los Angeles area jail facility. He has since been moved from the Twin Towers Correctional Facility to the Pitchess Detention Center.

It was a shock to the entertainment world when “Spider-Man 3” actress Lucy Gordon was found dead earlier this week. And police are launching a massive investigation.
According to a report, Gordon apparently hanged herself though no one can seem to pinpoint what would have caused her to take such irrational actions.
The British actress’ French agent, Elizabeth Simpson, referred to her client’s death as “baffling,” adding, “She was sparkling, warm-hearted, touching, and generous, and we will miss her sorely.”
Lucy’s father Richard Gordon told press, “We have always been immensely proud of her and her achievements. We love her so much. She was called Lucy and she has lived up to that: she has been the light of our lives, me and my wife Sue, and daughter Katie. She was a lovely, generous, unselfish person who gave her all for others and thought of others before herself ... She has been the most beautiful daughter. We are obviously devastated.”

Graham told press, “It’s not like that at all. I’m being honest. She’s just a friend, that’s all. A great artist. Nothing at all happened. I have the most respect for her. I think she’s so talented.”

She’s been spending the last few weeks in Canada with her fiancé Hayden Christensen, and yesterday Rachel Bilson was spotted making her way to her recently robbed home.
Also paying a visit to Disney studios during the course of the day, the “Last Kiss” cutie looked a bit forlorn as she made her return to her Los Feliz residence, holding her pooch pal Thurmen Murmen in her arms as she headed inside.
As previously reported, Rachel’s house was recently burglarized with the thief stealing thousands of dollars worth of clothing, vintage shoes, and family jewelry.
According to a report, there was no sign of forced entry, and police are investigating the incident. A Bilson pal told press, “She’s shaken. She feels violated.”

In the latest installment of celebrity legal woes, Kanye West entered a plea of ‘not guilty’ to charges of misdemeanor vandalism, battery, and grand theft resulting from a run-in with the paparazzi last September.
The “Love Lockdown” rapper’s lawyer Blair Berk appeared on his behalf, along with Shawn Chapman Holley, the lawyer for West’s road manager Don Crawley, who was also charged.
Back in September, Kanye and Don were videotaped wrestling with a photographer while en route to Honolulu, Hawaii, with both men taking the camera and smashing it.
Following the initial arrest, West wrote on his blog, “I’m col with the paparazzi. This guy wasn’t cool. I gotta work now… I’ll rant later!”
