Hollywood Gossip: amfAR Cinema Against AIDS, Star-Studded Gala
Making for quite the star-studded affair, the Hollywood stars were out in full force for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS 2009 benefit at the Hotel du Cap on Thursday (May 21).
Hosted by the lovely Sharon Stone, the event included a live auction with the help of several event chairs and other celebrities in attendance.
Among the guest list were couples including Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt, along with Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson.
Strolling about solo were Robert Pattinson, Dita Von Teese, Elizabeth Hurley, Noemie Lenoire and Eva Herzigove, among many others.
During the festivities, ex-President Bill Clinton was the honored guest - being rewarded for his work against HIV/AIDS which has helped millions battle the deadly disease.
Insiders tell that the posh shindig included “a formal dinner, along with a world-renowned live auction, all to benefit amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.”

With so much going on at the 62nd Annual Cannes Film Festival, Dita Von Teese has been running herself ragged to see all there is to see.
And the latest sighting of the burlesque babe was earlier today (May 19) at the screening of Quentin Tarantino’s new film “Inglourious Basterds.”
Miss von Teese was dressed to the nines as always, sporting a black with white accents one-shoulder dress with black heels as she sauntered down the red carpet.
Other celebrities attending the big premiere were Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Robert Pattinson, and Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt.

Showing off her seductively sexy ways in Russia, Dita Von Teese was busy performing in the grand finale of the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow on Saturday night (May 16).
During the competition, Dita performed a burlesque routine while pop duo Alex Swings Oscar Sings competed for the top prize.
Prior to the event, Dita told press, “I feel honored to appear with Alex and Oscar at the Grand Prix in Moscow. I hope that our collaboration will win.”
Unfortunately, things didn’t go her way - as Norway won the competition when singer Alexander Rybak beat out the 24 other contestants.

Ready for the long flight overseas, Dita Von Teese was spotted departing from the Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday (May 7).
The burlesque beauty was all dolled up as she made her way to the ticket counter, readying to board her AirFrance flight.
The trip overseas comes just a little over a week ahead of her performance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009.
To be held in Moscow, Russia, on May 16, Dita told press: “I feel honored to appear with Alex and Oscar at the Grand Prix in Moscow. I hope that our collaboration will win.”

Enjoying an evening on the town, Dita Von Teese attended the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center’s “An Evening with Women” shindig in Beverly Hills on Friday night (April 24).
Held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the burlesque beauty mingled with fellow guests as she enjoyed a night of mingling with celebrity pals and a performance by Christina Aguilera.
While at the event, Dita even took time to hit up her Twitter account, writing: “Sarah Silverman is bringing down the house here!”
In related news, Dita, 36, has been busy with the launch of her line of wonderbras.
Of this, she tells, “I’ve always wanted to do something with lingerie and it was important for the finished product to be something I would wear myself. Every woman needs a little moment of beauty to have for herself. Lingerie shouldn’t be something you just put on for your lover - you should do it for you. It’s not about seducing men, it’s about embracing womanhood. I love it when you can go about your daily business with the knowledge that you have a little secret of your own on underneath.”
