Even the stars don’t always have an easy childhood, and Hayden Panettiere isn’t afraid to say that she was unpopular in school.
The 19-year-old actress explained that she was teased and picked on so much at school that she never wanted to go back.
“I was never the popular girl. I actually thought the worst was middle school, it was all about where you sat in the lunchroom,” she explains. “And it was one of the most traumatizing experiences for me. I was absolutely tortured.
The Hero’s star continued on about getting teased, saying, “I remember going to sit with the popular kids for the first time because one girl invited me over and one of the guys pulled the chair out from underneath me before I sat down and everyone started laughing. So, I was never the popular girl. Never, never, never.”
And being a star, the criticism doesn’t ever end. “I live in criticism every day,” she said. “I used to walk my dogs in my PJ’s but now I have to make sure I look half decent or else I get trashed. Or like having cellulite on the back of your legs. I’m sorry, I’m a woman! I don’t know what you want me to tell you. I’m sorry it’s not going to go away. I can’t do anything about it. I apologize if my legs offended you’.”

They’re always up for a fun-filled high-profile event, and yesterday (June 2) Hayden Panettiere and AnnaLynne McCord were spotted having a blast at the LG Xenon Splash pool party.
The “Heroes” hottie looked amazing as she arrived at the W Hotel in Los Angeles, sporting a pretty white spring dress teamed with a pair of silver strappy heels.
Meanwhile, Miss McCord added some color to the scene in a sexy magenta spaghetti strap dress as she sauntered through the arrivals area.
The LG launch was a star studded affair, with celebrities like “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” stud Corbin Bleu and singer Jesse McCartney.

She’s always got a project going on, and this morning (June 2) Hayden Panettiere was spotted arriving at a studio in Hollywood, California.
The “I Love You Beth Cooper” cutie looked like she was still waking up as she exited her car and headed inside sporting a white top, denim cutoffs, and UGG boots.
Over the weekend, Hayden was all about checking out the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, stopping on the red carpet to throw down a few poses.
Once inside the Gibson Amphitheatre, Miss Panettiere was one of the night’s illustrious presenters, giving Amy Poehler the WTF Award.

Ever the media darling, Hayden Panettiere made quite an impression as she arrived at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards earlier this evening (May 31).
The “I Love You Beth Cooper” babe looked simply stunning as she meandered around the arrivals area, posing for the paparazzi in a black halter-style minidress with black peep-toe heels.
Tonight’s awards may be the most star-studded in MTV’s history, with celebs like Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Miley Cyrus all in attendance.

Enjoying the beautiful weather in the South of France, Hayden Panettiere was spotted having fun on a wave runner earlier today (May 22) off the coast of Antibes.
The “I Love You Beth Cooper” cutie looked super hot in a white two-piece bikini as she chilled out on a luxury yacht in between rides in the jet ski.
Last night, Hayden was all about being charitable as she attended the amfARCinema Against Aids 2009 benefit at the Hotel duCap.
She posed alongside David Furnish (Elton John’s boyfriend), looking amazing in her evening gown. Other celebrities in attendance were Guy Ritchie, Sharon Stone, and producer Harvey Weinstein.

The “Heroes” star looked to be having a great time with a group of pals including Ryan Phillippe, Elton John’s partner David Furnish, and Hayden’s rumored new boyfriend, Steve Jones, who is a British TV presenter.
Apparently, Panettiere and Jones have been spending quite a bit of time together since her break up with Milo Ventimiglia back in February.
Steve is 12 years her senior and the relationship has not been confirmed.

Teaming up for a good cause, Hayden Panettiere and Bristol Palin attended the Candie’s Foundation town hall meeting on teen pregnancy prevention at The Times Center in New York City on Wednesday (May 6).
Joining the two lovely ladies for the day’s effort was baseball star Matt Garza, who plays for the World Series runner-up Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
As for the trio’s mission, Hayden, Bristol and Matt are hoping to “save even one teenage girl from an unexpected pregnancy with unintended consequences.”
A single mother herself, Bristol explained, “I’m trying to tell them that this is 24-hour-a-day job. It’s not like an accessory on your hip, it’s hard work.”
Meanwhile, Miss Panettiere added, “It’s a topic that’s not talked about enough. This is just a human thing. It’s natural, it’s what everyone does, but most people don’t realize how serious things are until it directly impacts them and their lives or the lives of the people around them, and I think this is one of those things where as a young female you go, ‘Oh, it’ll never happen to me, oh, it happens to people, but it’ll never happen to me,’ and then it does happen.”

They play father and daughter together on TV, and yesterday (May 4) Hayden Panettiere and her “Heroes” co star Adrian Pasdar enjoyed a very private lunch at Katsu-Ya in Hollywood.
According to an insider on the scene, the pair were the only two allowed to dine in the restaurant during what turned into a three hour stay!
Upon finishing their Japanese cuisine, Miss Panettiere and Mr. Pasdar left together – walking arm-in-arm out to an awaiting car.
Though the latest volume of Hayden and Adrian’s hit show wrapped up just last week, fans will be treated to fresh new episodes in just over a month.
The fifth volume, titled “Redemption,”- offered up a “prelude featuring Tracy, played by Ali Larter, now having the ability to take a liquid form while hunting down and killing former agents of Building 26. Meanwhile, Sylar (who has been compelled to believe he is Nathan by Matt Parkman) is feeling increasingly distant. The prelude concludes with Nathan/Sylar being mesmerized by a clock in his office which is running one minute and a half fast. After seeing Nathan/Sylar correcting the clock, Angela appears worried over the hybrid creation.”

Meanwhile, as Hayden’s hit show “Heroes” saw in the season 4 finale this past Monday, Miss Panettiere has reportedly been focused on finishing a documentary for a Save the Whales awareness campaign.
