Celebrity Gossip: Hot Celeb Shawn Johnson is Dancing with the Stars Champ
She’s had quite a season with dancing partner Mark Ballas, and last night Shawn Johnson was crowned the winner of “Dancing with the Stars” season 8.
The 17-year-old Olympic gold medalist skipped her prom to compete on the show, and from the look on her face when she was announced the champion, it was well worth it.
Moments after she received the good news, Johnson told press, “This means the world to me. We worked so hard just to make it to the finals. This is the best.”
Judge Bruno Tonioli mused, “Shawn’s freestyle was the best of all of them. With cha cha cha, tango, waltz — they all have a structure. But in the freestyle anything goes and you may or may not get it right. Shawn and Mark got it right. The other two [Marini and Melissa Rycroft] did not get it right.”
