Showing off her style on the red carpet, Abbie Cornish hit up the 2009 Cannes International Film Festival premiere of “bright Star” on Friday (May 15).

With boyfriend Ryan Phillippe nowhere to be seen, the Aussie beauty looked lovely in a lavender, one-shoulder gown with a long train as she posed for photogs on-hand.

Also in attendance for the Cannes screening were co-star Ben Wishaw and director Jane Campion, who gathered around Abbie for a few group shots.

The drama is based on the three-year romance between 19th century poet John Keats and Fanny Brawne, which was cut short by Keats’ untimely death at age 25.

They’re one of the hottest couples in Hollywood, and Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish are having a marvelous time at the 2009 Cannes International Film Festival.

Earlier today (May 15), Abbie was spotted at a photo call for her new movie “Bright Star” that will be screening/competing at this year’s festival.

She looked lovely as she posed along with costar Ben Wishaw and director Jane Campion in a beautiful sleeveless white dress with matching open-toe heels.

Last night (May 14) Miss Cornish was spotted arriving at the Nice Airport along with her “Cruel Intentions” beau, struggling to push past the paparazzi as they made their way out of the terminal.
