She’s always up for a good time and last night (May 6) Katy Perry was busy hamming it up at the People Magazine Music Lounge party in her honor.
The “Hot N Cold” songstress looked lovely as she arrived at the Manhattan shindig, sporting a funky yellow minidress covered in mini-tassels teamed with sliver heels.
As for her new single “Waking Up in Vegas,” Katy told press she was writing from experience when she penned the song’s lyrics. Apparently she went to Sin City with a boyfriend with the intention of getting ‘fake married.’
“We took all the pictures with the minister, with the fake cake, in the fake chapel and got a fake marriage certificate. We went and bought a wedding dress and a suit at a thrift store, and scanned the pictures and the certificate to my family members, my manager at the time [and] totally freaked the s--- out of them.”

Moving forward with her theatrical career, Katie Holmes has reportedly signed on to star in a new thriller flick titled “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark”.
According to Variety reports, the former “Dawson Creek” darling nabbed the role - which will begin shooting this summer in Melbourne, Australia.
The upcoming film is said to “center on a young girl who moves in with her father and his girlfriend. Soon, she discovers they are sharing the house with devilish creatures.”
Katie’s latest role follows the recent filming of “The Extra Man,” in which she co-stars alongside Kevin Kline.

In the latest instance of celebrity nude photo scandal drama, Cassie has spoken out regarding the racy private photos that were leaked on the Internet yesterday (May 6).
In an official statement, the 22-year-old songstress said, “The recent personal pictures that have been leaked on the internet of me were hacked and stolen out of my computer. These photos were obviously never intended for the world to see and it’s sad that people would really take time to steal and post them, it’s just evil.”
She continued, “At the end of the day breasts are breasts, min weren’t the first you’ve seen and they won’t be the last… people need to grow up, let’s move on. Thank you. Cassie.”
Supplementing her statement, Cassie posted to her Twitter account, “It seems that someone has hacked into my computer. That’s real foul and evil. Now stop acting like you haven’t seen a t–ty before.”

As the case of Chris Brown’s attack on Rihanna progresses, Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos has begun to unveil his strategy to get the whole thing thrown out of court.
The “Kiss Kiss” singer’s lawman’s first order of business is to attack the LAPD for leaking a photograph of Rihanna’s bruised face, as he believes it made a fair trial impossible.
Geragos stated, “I am informed and believe that this highly prejudicial photograph was sold by an LAPD officer to the entertainment website, TMZ. The photograph was immediately viewed by hundreds of thousands of viewers and was displayed on every news channel for several weeks ... The purpose of the leak was necessarily for profit and to vilify Mr. Brown and poison the potential jury pool.”
He continued, “I intend to use such evidence at the preliminary hearing to attack their credibility ... I believe there is a reasonable likelihood that the case will be dismissed at the preliminary hearing.”
However, Geragos’ strategy may not be enough right off the bat. An uninvolved lawyer told press, “It’s unlikely the judge will dismiss the case on the grounds of leaked evidence. It’s not police conduct at issue here, it’s Chris Brown’s.”

Jacko’s former spokeswoman Raymone Bain has filed a $44 million lawsuit against him claiming that she is owed a 10% cut of his business dealings.
Bain began working for the King of Pop back in 2003 and says that he has failed to honor their agreement. Hence, she’s suing him for what she considers to be her share of his earnings.
“I have been left no choice” she told press. In 2003 Bain oversaw Jackson’s image during his child molestation trial and in 2005 she handled his relocation overseas and back to Los Angeles.
